Midsummer is a "Vampire: the Masquerade" roleplaying game, set in a world identical to our own, yet where real supernatural creatures lurk behind the shadows of society. The setting is rural Derbyshire in the middle of the nineteenth century - a time of great change, of incredible revolutions in art, science, technology and society that will forge our modern world, and change history for ever. The story is a Victorian gothic horror-melodrama - at least on the surface. There are darker depths of horror and depravity, of unspoken evils. Authors at the time would not dare shock their audiences with the true and secret wickedness of the world...
